Courtney presented her microscope at the Chemistry Graduate Symposium on 10/8/18. Amazing work!
A huge congratulations to Courtney and Xiaoqi for being selected for departmental fellowships!! Courtney was awarded the Marcus Hobbs Fellowship and Xiaoqi was awarded the Kathleen Zielik Fellowship. These awards reflect the hard work you both have been putting in – keep it up!
Courtney and Shangguo presented at this year’s excellent FIP symposium. Shangguo took home third place in the poster competition. Way to go!
A belated welcome to Chen Zhang, a first year Chemistry graduate student who joins the tracking team. Welcome Chen!
Shangguo presented a poster at the meeting of the Biophysical Society in SF this past week!
Shangguo’s protocol for real-time 3D single particle tracking has been published in the Journal of Visualized Experiments. A star is born! See the video here.
A warm welcome to Dr. Jack Exell, who joins our investigation of viral infection using real-time 3D microscopy! Also, a belated welcome to Justin Silverman (Class of 2018) who is investigating doping in giant quantum dots!
Our first paper has been published describing a new method for real-time 3D tracking at high diffusive speeds and low photon count rates. Cheers to Shangguo for his hard work designing and building the microscope and to Xiaoqi for providing synthetic support!
A very belated welcome Kevin Wang (nanoscrystal synthesis, started summer 2016), Joseph Griffith (3D tracking, started fall 2016) and Xiaochen Tan (3D tracking, started fall 2016). Welcome aboard and keep up the good work!
